Shaklee Cares

Shaklee has been part of the Malaysian social fabric for over 20 years and we are committed to helping build and participate in its future. We believe in serving our community, so we founded Shaklee Cares: a foundation focused on giving back and creating healthier lives. Our programmes focus largely on promoting a healthy lifestyle for women and younger generations. In the last 14 months, Shaklee contributed approximately RM16 million in donations to charitable causes in Malaysia.

In Malaysia, Shakee Cares has several channels focused on different community initiatives: Shaklee Cares for our Children, Shaklee Cares for Our Youth and Shaklee Cares for our Women.

Shaklee Cares for Our Children focuses on improving the lives of children in the country through providing nutritional aid. In the past year, Shaklee has provided nutritional aid to over 50,000 underprivileged children in Malaysia. We have collaborated with NGOs and local charity organizations to assist underprivileged children, such as:

  • MyKasih Foundation
  • Malaysia Red Crescent
  • PACOS Trust
  • NCWO (National Council Women Organization)
  • SAWO (Sabah Action Women Organization)
  • WIN (Wanita Inspirasi Negara)

Shaklee Cares for Our Youth encourages a healthy lifestyle among youth through its sponsorship of sporting activities. Recently, Shaklee Malaysia sponsored events like the Penang StarWalk 2015, the Walk Wheelathon 2015, and the SJ 10KM Run.

Shaklee Cares for Our Women endeavors to help Malaysian women improve their lives and their sense of well-being through events focused on self-improvement, business start-up assistance, and other mentorship programmes. To this end, Shaklee Malaysia is pleased to announce Tan Sri Datin Paduka Seri Hajah Zaleha Ismail as the ambassador of Shaklee Cares. A solid, successful and well-respected woman, Tan Sri Zaleha, served as the Malaysian Minister of National Unity and Social Development, and is renown for her selfless contributions to the empowerment of women, children and family unity not only in Malaysia, but around the world. In 2011, Tan Sri received the Global Peace Award for her commitment to peace and unity and, in 2013, she was named as “Tokoh Ibu Harmoni” for her contributions to the community. Tan Sri Zaleha will serve to inspire and guide women to improve their lives.

At Shaklee, we have a deep commitment to the causes that benefit Malaysians. Our core focus has always been, and will continue to be, providing the world’s finest products to foster a healthier life and fully supporting and empowering local entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and build a better life for their communities.
